Traumatic events, relationship distress, loss of loved ones, and the unpredictability of life can leave us feeling lost. In result, we may experience uncomfortable symptoms such as sadness, fear, fatigue, panic, stress, flashbacks, and low self-esteem. I’ve worked with many individuals, both men and women, who face such challenges.
In counseling, I attend to you as a person and seek to fully understand what drives your concerns. I begin by teaching you evidence based skills (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) to manage strong emotions and troubling moods. I then help you see what lies beneath those feelings and emotions (past unresolved trauma, unhealthy beliefs or expectations, etc). In doing so, you’ll develop new patterns of behavior and begin to live life in a more authentic way.
